It is proposed to replace one of the existing manual davits, which are rarely used, with a powered version.

Quotations are being gathered together prior to making an application for funding.

For the technically minded the new davit, manufactured by Spencer Carter Ltd , will be driven by a 1.5kW ( 2hp ) three phase electric motor and will be able to lift a maximum of 250kg ( 550lbs).
