Extract Minutes of meeting at Hallhill Healthy Living Centre, Dunbar1. HMC Update
Tidal Gauge has been destroyed by waves – the question of an insurance claim to cover the cost of replacing was raised and DHT will check the policy. HMC will investigate a replacement and the question of an electronic gauge was discussed and will be looked at as well as a more traditional replacement.
Fuel Bowsers – The removal programme of these to be reviewed
HM Office – DHT has applied for funding for refurbishment starting with external building work and progressing to the inside.
2. Projects Update
North Wall – Beckitt and Rankin report running late due to Historic Scotland information delaying it’s preparation – the report is expected in August.
Ladders – 11 Ladders in Phase 1 of 19 ladders in total. Plan to start work in mid August. Ladder 8 will be rubber moulded and may be in place for September.
Hard Standing – DHT has written to SEERAD to request extra funding
McArthur’s Store – MSBPT to meet next week.
Slipway – Royal Engineers are still to send detailed planning report
Diving Platform – HMC to speak to Diving Club
Battery – Work unable to start until the new bridge is in place.
Toilets and Showers – DHT has been advised that The Lottery would consider funding for the start up costs only and hope to hear from them shortly
Interpretative Panel - A sample of the design of the proposed panel was sent to all Directors and approved.
Bridge –The contractors have 10 days to install before the RNLI fete.
Communication – paper copies of latest newsletter to be sent out.
Fuel Pump – original pump was faulty which caused problems as fuel had to be dispensed manually and a note of the amount supplied kept for records. This has since been replaced.
Seabird Centre Camera – Confirmed that the camera coverage has been modified following requests from local residents.
3 . AOB
The issue of the build up of algae on the north pier was raised and the HM to clean this area.
