Projects Update:

North Wall – Inspection completed by Beckett & Rankin and report due late June.
Hard Standing – Two quotes received and consultation with tenderers and grant funders continue with regard to costs and programme
Ladders – Three quotes received and consultation with tenderers and grant funders continue with regard to costs and programme
McArthur’s Store –

• Grant promised by ELC is critical to the success of the project. DHT to send a letter to the ELC explaining the significance and importance of the grant.
• It was agreed that space would be provided for two 30ft containers to be placed toward the west end of the harbour after the RNLI Fete in order to cover the shortfall of accommodation for the fishermen during store restoration.

Slipway – The Royal Engineers will be coming to Dunbar on 11th September 2007 to carry out preliminary work prior to the remaining RE’s arriving later that week. The work is scheduled to take approximately one month.

Diving Platform – An email message received on 13th June from the Peeblesshire Branch of the Scottish Sub-Aqua Club in which he makes a number of suggestions on how diving from Dunbar Harbour could be made more attractive..

Battery – Work unable to start until the bridge is replaced. Erection of bridge now scheduled to commence on July 16th.

Amenity Building – Lottery requested to allow original application for start-up costs only.

Harbourmaster’s Office Refurbishment – Request sent to Viridor Waste management for match funding for ELC/Historic Scotland grant.

Seabird Camera – Hardware installed and electric’s connected at the harbour end. Awaiting commissioning.

Interpretative Panels – Design should be available for next meeting. Application for funding of second panel in progress. Seabird Centre commitment to supply panel for kittiwakes to be followed up.

Bridge – Bridge to be assembled in situ and erection now scheduled to commence on 16th July.

Marina – DHT working on ideas for consideration by the Board.
