Extract Minutes of meetingat Hallhill Healthy Living Centre, Dunbar

1. Matters Arising

Seabird Centre Camera - No Update received

2. Business Plan

Battery – DHT received a project brief which will be scanned and emailed to Directors. The archeologists hope to start work at the end of January when the new bridge is in place.

Toilets and Showers – A draft proposal had been sent to Highlands and Islands Enterprise. They have returned it with suggested amendments and the DHT will re submit the application.

This will include budgeted costs for the work.

Interpretive Panels (Information Boards) – Meeting ELC on 2nd February @0930 hrs to discuss. It was agreed that the board should be sited near the DHT notice board and contain information on the Castle and the fishing/trading from Dunbar Harbour. DHT will now seek planning permission.

Bridge – New bridge under construction

Recent P and L sheet updated .

4. HMC Update

DHT to meet ELC regarding Fishermen’s Monument on Wednesday 17th January @ 11am.

Risk Assessments need to be progressed.

The pumping station now has telemetry installed to warn Scottish Water of problems.

Dog warden is active in the county and fining offenders.

6. Projects Update

Projects

North Wall – Remains under observation. Funding awaited for next survey

Ladders – Awaiting Funding

Hard Standing – Planning permission still awaited

Fuel Store –Still having issues but a meeting is to be held next week after which tests will be run. DHT has form for users to sign but will run past lawyers before issuing. Payment options should be built into the form to allow users to select payment methods when registering to use the system

MacArthur’s Store – Project Office is close to going out to tender. He now needs commitment from users as to what space they are prepared to take. A meeting is proposed to discuss how to progress.

Slipway – Royal Engineers have confirmed they will proceed with this project in Sept/Oct this year. A formal survey by their clerk of works is expected soon and a method statement will be issued following that survey. DHT will now apply for planning permission

Diving Platform – under review

7 . AOB
Mooring Charges – Further review required which cannot be completed for this year’s charges as the forms are due to go out in the near future. It was agreed an approx 4% increase on all charges be applied this year and the matter to be progressed for future years.
