Extract Minutes of meeting at The Rocks Hotel, Dunbar
SERAD have made contact regarding grant funds but the DHT would need to apply before the end of the year to take advantage of this funding.
Funding for Ladders and hard standing has already been applied for.
Fuel Store
There has been a problem with the computer and sim cards communicating effectively. The testing of a connection allowing dial into the system is still in progress
Seabird Centre
They have advised to the project has been short listed by Viridor.
Battery
This contract for archaeological survey work has been awarded to A.O.C.
Toilets and Showers
DHT have sent outline proposal to Highlands and Islands Enterprise. It was agreed that any meetings with ELCDT would not be arranged until the application goes into the Big Lottery.
Fishermen’s Monument
DHT to meet at the Monument next week with specialists.
Slipway
DHT met with a number army personnel from The Royal Engineers and this project looks likely to go ahead. The Trust will have to pay the cost of materials but equipment and personnel will be supplied by the army. We will hear in February 07 with costs and confirmation as to dates which may be Sept/Oct 07. They may dam the water under the bridge but this is still under discussion.
Mooring Application Forms
These are still being worked on but need to out in January. Fishing/Dive boats charges are being worked on and will need to be ready for the meeting in Janaury
Moorings in the Broadhaven and Cromwell Harbour will have the responsibility for their risers passed to boat owners.
Interpretive panels
DHT have successfully negotiated a grant of £3k for these panels.
AOB
Users have asked when bridge may be returned to allow work to progress on the Battery – the date from the fabricators has been given as end of January. No further information is available at this stage.
