The accident involved a fishing boat which collided with the rock and was damaged due to having insufficient fenders in place, and no one was injured
Seabird Centre Camera
DHT met Tom Brock regarding the possible funding. The closing date for applications is 30th September.
The project proposes to fund the removal of mallow from Fidra the Bass Rock and Craigleith which is an invasive species and is harming the habitat of Puffins which are in decline in the area. It is also intended to include the monitoring of Kittiwakes in the project and includes the erection of a camera linking the Seabird Centre to the Kittiwake colony at Dunbar Harbour .
Business Plan
Battery - 5 quotations received for preparation of conservation plan. DHT to review these and will send a copy to ELC specialist for comments. The results should be available for the next Board meeting.
Toilets and Showers - the application has been sent to the Big Lottery and an acknowledgement has been received. Site to be investigated after funding has been agreed.

HMC Update
Seerad funding to be applied for the ladders, wall and slipway inspections/surveys to ascertain repairs required and methodology and creation of hard standing.
Quotations are awaited for the repairs to the HM office

North Wall - will be resurveyed pending grant
Ladders - pending grant - Listed Building consent now agreed.
Tidal Depth Gauge - will be erected early October
Hard Standing - pending grant - one objector to planning permission and DHT to arrange a meeting and visit objector.
Fuel Store -Contractors are now on site and the physical installation is complete. Awaiting Trading Standards. DHT to arrange meeting with potential fuel suppliers.
MacArthur's Store - Heritage Lottery Fund have re-confirmed that Community access and a DHT office must be included in the building to qualify for funding but the location of these is flexible.

Harbour Incident Report
This report has already been circulated to HMC members and will be discussed at their next meeting

Insurance -The issue of the requirement to lift and check the mooring chains on an annual basis reviewed. The main chain would be impossible to lift and DHT to check if insurers would accept a annual check of samples of the main chain.
The issue of more effective communication by DHT to be reviewed
