Business Plan
- Battery - funding has been received to enable an archaeological survey to be carried out which is necessary before any plans for re-development can be made
- Castle - In view of the hazardous nature of the castle area it was decided to drop development of access to the castle as a tourist attraction.
- Toilets and Showers - the application is being put together for Big Lottery funding but a referee is required.
- Interpretive Panels (Information Boards) - The DHT have had a meeting with the Countryside Officer from ELC to examine samples of the types of boards available. DHT to decide percentages of wording v photographs and the location and number of boards required.
- Fishing Day trips - One operator no longer offers trips following an accident on the Bass Rock but one boat still doing trips.
- Parking - ongoing
- Harbour Visits - ongoing
- Bridge - DHT to confirm start date for work with ELC.
- 24/7 Access - ongoing
- Pumping station - SEPA pursuing Scottish Water to confirm their intention
- HM Office - Estimates for upgrade of this office to be sent to ELC
- PATS testing - has now been carried out
- Dog Fouling - ELC are planning a county wide blitz on dog fouling
Projects Update
- Projects Coal Hirst - DHT speaking to Beckett Rankin, and grant funding for survey being sought
- North Wall - under review
- Broadhaven - on going
- Ladders - Planning consent received from ELC but awaiting Historic Scotland approval
- Tidal Depth Gauge - work in progress
- Repair Berth - planning application lodged and acknowledged
- Fuel Store - Order has now been placed and contractor plans to be on site in mid September
- MacArthur's Store - ELC have agreed to give a grant to this project. This should now allow the development phase to proceed. A meeting with the architects LDN has been held
- Slipway - under review

- It was reported that anglers are dropping litter and casting their lines towards divers - HMC to look at these problems.
- Divers continue to dive in the harbour entrance despite many efforts to make them aware of the dangers - this may be alleviated if better access was available for divers - HMC to investigate
