A Celebration of Dunbar Fishing’ is a small photographic display, which complements the current ‘Dunbar, A Safe Haven’ exhibition. Beautifully prepared by Dunbar & District History Society.

Fire, siege, occupation, disaster, celebration and working lives.
For centuries Dunbar’s coast and harbour area has remained a safe refuge in times of conflict, with a strong community spirit which continues today. Dunbar, A Safe Haven, looks at just some of the stories, activities and changes, which have taken place there over the years.

The photographic display, with images of the past to the present day, tell the story of a successful fishing industry over 100’s of years. You may see some of your own ancestors and relations staring right back at you! There will also be a storybook for you to enter your own stories - all in the year of storytelling (see more at Scotland's Year of Stories 2022 | VisitScotland)

May – Sat 4th June at the Town House, from 2-4pm.
