Charges for Moorings / Landings etc.
Harbour Charges 2010 / 2011
Below are the he rates for use of the Dunbar Harbour facilities for the year April 2010 to March 2011.
Mooring, Hard Standing and Charter Boat charges
A comparison with harbours in the Forth Estuary area shows that, in some cases, the rates charges by Dunbar Harbour Trust are noticeably lower than those of other ports and there is a case for a greater than RPI increase in order to bring the DHT rates into line with others. The Trust believes, however, that to introduce this increase without prior advice to harbour users would be unethical and it has been decided to apply the same basis for the increase for the year 2010/2011 as recent years, namely RPI which, for 2009 was 1.5%. In future, the increase in the annual rate will be determined with greater attention being paid to the comparison with other ports which may result in an increase in excess of RPI.
Fish Landing Dues
It has been decided that fish landing dues should remain at 2% of catch value although the same argument will be applied to these dues in future years as for mooring and hard standing charges.
